2017, marks 100 years since the Girl Scouts started selling cookies to raise money. This year there's a new flavor available.Get ready for S'mores, this year's newest cookie, as the organization celebrates this important milestone.

Nationwide, nearly 1 million Girl Scouts will be participating in the annual cookie program, generating around $800 million in sales.

100 percent of of the net revenue raised stays with each local council and troops.

Sierra Fernandes, of Girl Scouts of Central Texas, tells us that locally, sales will begin on January 18th and run through February 26th.

Let's face it, we all love those cookies, and who can resist buying from your neighborhood Girl Scouts.
