The CMA Songwriters Series is celebrating its ninth year, and it's had a great run of fan favorite songwriters who tell the stories behind their hit songs. This year, the series includes a stop on the East Coast, in Boston, featuring the lovable lady known as Miranda Lambert

Held in the acclaimed Royale Boston Nightclub, Lambert will take the stage alongside country artists Brett James, Kip Moore and Bob DiPiero, who will also serve as the evening’s host. James and DiPiero were also part of last year's program, which featured powerhouse vocalist Carrie Underwood.

“Nashville’s songwriters are the best in the world and CMA is excited to return to Boston to showcase some of these spectacular artists again,” said Steve Moore, CMA Chief Executive Officer. “It’s great to see how this series has grown since it began in 2005, expanding to play in cities across the U.S., and overseas in places like the U.K. and Paris as well.  Boston has given us such a warm reception and we are thrilled to continue to share the remarkable stories behind the hit songs with the terrific fans there.”

Lambert, the reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year and Song of the Year winner for 'Over You,' is sure to not only bring great music to Boston, but also add her sweet and sassy personality with each anecdote. Maybe she'll even dish a few humorous details about her husband, Blake Shelton. Or even better -- maybe she'll give the scoop on her upcoming album. The event will hopefully bring smiles to a city that has seen much tragedy over the past few months.

CMA Songwriters Series will take place Thursday, July 11, and tickets are on sale now. After its Boston stop, the program will also play in Chicago, Austin, and Nashville and New York with talent to be announced at a later date.
