City of San Angelo Online Survey Could Lead to Change in Trash Service

Quarterly or monthly bulk trash pickup? Collection of recyclables weekly or every other week?

City of San Angelo garbage collection customers have asked the City to consider increasing bulk collection to once per month and decreasing recycling pickup to every other week. So, the City is seeking customers’ opinion on a proposed change in trash collection.

You can take the one-minute online survey at cosatx.us/TrashSurvey through March 15. Results of the survey will be presented afterward to the City Council, which will decide whether to change the service.

If a change were made, each home would be assigned a specific day, such as the third Thursday of each month, when bulk garbage, including yard waste, appliances and furniture, would be collected.

Avid recyclers could get a second green recycling bin at no charge.

Trash collection would continue to be once weekly, and the change would neither increase nor decrease rates.
