The American Junior Rodeo Association or AJRA as it is known,  has one of  it's 15 sanctioned events this Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in Eden, Texas.  2012, is the 60th anniversary of AJRA.  The organization  has given some of the biggest names in pro rodeo their introduction to the sport.  They start them early with 8 and under age  boys and girls combined events, then separate events for girls and boys 9-12, 13-15 and 16-19 years of age.  It's kind of  a "proving ground", for the rodeo stars of tomorrow.

The rodeo action in Eden,  starts at 7:00 pm each night at the Ray Dockery Arena, in Lee Pfluger Park, on West U.S. 87.  From San Angelo, it's about a 45 mile drive or as they say in Texas, just a long conversation away.

Nightly admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for ages 7-12, 6 and under get in free.

Come out, support these  Junior Rodeo participants and enjoy some great family entertainment!
