Breast Health Tip Three: Screenings Under The Age Of Forty
Genevieve Pfluger Mejia, M.D. is an obstetrician and gynecologist at San Angelo Community Medical Center, and also serves as the Medical Director for the Laura Bush Institute of Women’s Health. This program provides free mammograms for the under-insured and uninsured. In this video, Dr. Mejia explains the importance of screenings when you are under the age of forty. These women have denser breast tissue than women over forty, and mammograms aren’t the best way to help detect any issues.
