Breast Cancer Cookoff
Boomer heads to the 12th Breast Cancer Cookoff in Midland to announce all the barbeque and chili winners! It's his 10th year to serve as Master of Ceremonies for one of the largest cookoffs in West Texas! Here are a few pictures he took at the event.
Everyone has on "Pink" for this cookoff and everyone enjoys getting to sample some great barbeque & chili!
If you don't have something pink, no problem! There are plenty of shirts and more to commemorate
the cookoff and the cause!
Cool golf cart!
I bet you can cook a lot of barbeque on this cooking rig!
Bill Carrell cuts those ribs very carefully for judging!
I love my....RED SOLO CUP!
It's time to turn in the brisket entries!
Kelly from Tahoka gets a quick nap while his chili is cooking.
Ok, we gotta hurry and get this brisket sliced for turn in!
It takes lots of folks to judge all the entries! There were 59 barbeque cooks and 49 chili cooks. This event raised over $50,000.00 for Gifts of Hope and other organizations who help those dealing with cancer in the Midland-Odessa area. We salute Patsy Childress and all the volunteers, cooks, sponsors and donors who made this one of the biggest and best events in West Texas! Congratulations to all the
Chili & Barbeque Winners!
