!925- Felice Bryant was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She along with husband, Boudleaux Bryant, would write over 6,000 songs together.  Most famous of these are, The Everly Brothers hits, "Bye Bye Love", "Wake Up Little Susie", "Bird Dog" and "All I Have to Do Is Dream".  They also wrote, "Rocky Top", one of the state songs of Tennessee.

1950- Rodney Crowell,  was born on Houston, Texas.  As a recording artist, he scored 5 #1 singles from his 1988 album, "Diamonds & Dirt".  As a record producer, he had hits with his former wife, Rosanne Cash and he's written hit songs for Waylon Jennings, Crystal Gayle, Tim McGraw and many others.

1961- "I Fall To Pieces" by Patsy Cline, is #1, on Billboard's country singles chart.

1997- Garth Brooks, plays a free concert in New York City's Central Park that's broadcast live on HBO, as the city observes Garth Brooks Day.

2007- Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame announces, as it's inductees of the year, Vince Gill, Mel Tillis and Ralph Emery.

Richie Hernandez, 13.  From Grandma and Grandpa.

Jasmin Quiroz, 7.  From Mom and the rest of the family.

Charley Lopez, old enough.  From his daughter, Crystal.

Stacey Smith, 54.  From Connie and the rest of the family.

Sherry Huckabee, old enough.  From Mom, her husband, Richard, Raynn, Joshua and Danielle.  Sherry wins our birthday cake today from Halfmann's Cake Cottage.
