Best Wishes to our listeners celebrating here on September 7th.  We'll have the list after we remind you of what an important day this is.

It's National Grandparents Day!

Hugs, kisses, family history, wisdom, patience, love and guidance are just some of the things that most grandparents are full of.  This is the one day of the year set aside to honor them.

This day originated in 1978, when President Jimmy Carter declared it to be celebrated on the first Sunday following Labor day.

If at all possible, spend the day with them.  It is the greatest gift that only you can give.  If you can't be with them, call them or maybe skype them.  Make sure, if you do call, to have plenty of time for a long conversation.  They always ask about you first and then listen closely to everything you have to say.  They are never in a hurry and are there just for you.

Aren't grandparents wonderful?  Always around with a hug, a kiss, a cookie, something special, or taking us somewhere special.

Today, show them how much they are loved.
