1988 - Alabama's "Song Of The South", is released by RCA.

2001 - The soundtrack album of "O Brother, Where Art Thou?", wins Album of the Year at the 35th Country Music Association awards for it's producer, T Bone Burnett.  Meanwhile, one of it's tracks, "I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow", by the Soggy Bottom Boys, receives the Single of the Year award.

2004 - Roger Miller's song, "King Of The Road", lands at #1, on the CMT special, "40 Greatest Road Songs".

2009 - Taylor Swift is both guest host and musical guest on NBC's "Saturday Night Live", and performs, "You Belong To Me".

2013 - Cassadee Pope's recording of "Wasting All These Tears", earns a gold single.
