1938- Allen Reynolds, born in North Little Rock, Arkansas.  A record producer with hits including,  Crystal Gayle's "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue", Kathy Mattea's, "Eighteen Wheels And A Dozen Roses", and Garth Brooks', "Shameless".

1961 - "Big Bad John" is recorded by Jimmy Dean at Bradley's Film & Recording Studio in Nashville.

1973 - "Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man" by Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn is #1 on Billboard's country chart.

1979 - "Coca Cola Cowby" by Mel Tillis, claims the #1 spot on Billboard's country chart.

2004 - "Horse Of A Different Color", the debut album from Big & Rich, is certified platinum.

2009 - Reba McEntire's first album, on the Valory label, "Keep On Loving You", is released.
