Birthdays For January 29th + Puzzle Day
If you are celebrating a birthday today, congratulations! Here's a couple of events in country music that happened on this date. 1959 - Ray Price records "Heartaches By The Number" in the evening at the Bradley Film & Recording Studios in Nashville. 1969 - "The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour" debuts on CBS TV. Guests for the first episode include: Bobbie Gentry, "Gentle On My Mind" songwriter John Hartford, The Smothers Brothers and comedian Pat Paulsen.
It's National Puzzle Day!
Today we honor puzzles of all sizes, shapes and forms. The most common is the crossword. The number puzzle, Sudoku, is the most recent. Don't forget about word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, puzzle books, and so on and so forth. It's safe to say there are puzzles that fit the needs of every person and every skill level, both young and old. Some folks work them for fun, while others use them to kill time or eliminate boredom. Whatever your reason for doing a puzzle, enjoy this special day.
