Happy Birthday to you if this is your day to celebrate!  Two members of famous country bands are also turning a year older today.  Alabama bass player Teddy Gentry, born in Fort Payne, Alabama, in 1952.  The band mixes country with southern rock and becomes  the hottest country act of the 1980s, eventually entering the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Happy 63rd, Teddy!   Exile lead vocalist J.P. Pennington, born in Berea, Kentucky in 1949.  Founded in 1963, the band becomes one of country's top groups during the 1980s, with Pennington and bass player Sonny Lemaire co-writing the bulk of the band's hook-filled hits.   Happy 66th, J.P.!

It's Celebration Of Life Day!

This is the day to take a step back and truly appreciate your children and grandchildren.  Think about what it is that makes them truly special.  Feel free to lavish treats upon them too, if you like.  Perhaps, their favorite ice cream would be in order.

These are special people in your life.  Sometimes they'll do you proud, and other times, they'll make mistakes.  Just make sure you are the one who's there to offer congratulations, or encouragement to pick themselves up when they fall.  In other words, show that you love them.

Now Let's P-A-R-T-Y!!
