This federal holiday is celebrated on the third Monday of February.  It's a day set aside to honor all of the past United States presidents that have served this great nation.  It's origins go all the way back to the 1880's, when George Washington's birthday, February 22nd,  was celebrated as a federal holiday.  In 1968, Congress passed the Uniform Monday Holiday Bill, which moved several federal holidays to Mondays.  Since 1971, Presidents Day has become the commonly accepted name for this holiday.

Now Let's P-A-R-T-Y!!
