1944 -Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys appear on the Grand Ole Opry, causing a big up roar when Monte Mountjoy's drum set is moved onto the stage at the last minute. Drums were not previously allowed. Their first number is "New San Antonio Rose".  1950 - Lefty Frizzell makes his debut appearance on the Grand Ole Opry, singing "If You've Got The Money I've Got The Time" and "I Love You A Thousand Ways".

It's National Bicarbonate Of Soda Day!!

Most of the time it is referred to as Baking Soda.  What is it and what does it do?

It's a chemical compound.  When heated, it creates the gas, carbon dioxide.  This gas enables a variety of bakery products to rise as they cook.

Other uses include:  Relieves stomach indigestion and heartburn when combined with water.  Removes odors in the refrigerator and kitty litter.  It is also used in fire extinguishers for oil and grease fires.  Plus it can also be used as a cleaning agent as well as a meat tenderizer.

What a great product!
