Birthdays For December 2nd + National Fritters Day

If this is your birthday, congratulations! There are two names in country music also celebrating today.

Jana Kramer, born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1983. Following an acting career that lands her in the cast of several TV shows, she nabs her first country hit in 2012 with "Why Ya Wanna" and is named the Academy of Country Music's Top New Female in 2013.

Happy 32nd, Jana!

Also a year older today, songwriter Casey Beathard, born in Torrance, California, in 1965. He authors such hits as Kenny Chesney's "Don't Blink," Darius Rucker's "Come Back Song," Eric Church's "Homeboy" and George Strait's "The Breath You Take". 

Happy 50th, Casey! By the way, he's the one holding the award.

This Is National Fritters Day! 

To celebrate this very important day, you may need to know what a "fritter" is. Many people do not know, making it all the more fun to eat your first fritter today. A fritter is a fried cake or dough with fruit or meats inside.
