The Americana icon writes George Strait's "I Gotta Get To You," Mark Chesnutt's "Gonna Get A Life" and Patty Loveless' "Halfway Down," among others.

Steve Azar, born in Greenville, Mississippi, in 1964. He first gains attention with an independent album in 1996, although he waits another six years to score his first hit, "I Don't Have To Be Me ('Til Monday)".

This Is Eight Track Tape Day! 

This should bring back some great memories of the 60s and 70s. That's when 8-tracks ruled the music world.

It was a must to have an eight track player in your home and better yet in your car.

Here's something you might not know: Eight track tapes were created by the jet maker William Lear.

In the late 70s, 8-track tapes were replaced by these things.
