It's Video Games Day!

A day that celebrates all video games, Atari, Nintendo, Xbox, Play Station and many more that provide way too many hours of playing time on your TV.

Most baby boomers missed out on these games.  Back then, it was stick horses, Hula Hoops, doll houses, Cowboys and Indians and most play time was spent outside in the fresh air. They didn't even have sun screen.  Believe me, it was terrible.

Today's kids (both big and small) have a vast array of these games to play.  It seems the video games just keep coming.  Before you can get used to one, a new one hits the market, and of course, you just have to have it, right?

It's a perfect day for kids out of school, or a big kids off from work, to make it a video game marathon.  Why not invite some friends over to the house and hold a competition.  Just be sure you have enough controllers to go around.

Concho Valley birthdays today include:

Pat Jones, old enough.  From Renee and Goldie.

Chelest Shoulders, 89.  From Carolyn, Vicki and Renee.

Shianne Clark, 11.  From Mom, Dad and her little brother.  Shianne wins our birthday cake today from Halfmann's Cake Cottage.

Happy Wedding Anniversary to:

Tracy & Kim Kelly, 25 years.  They will be in our drawing this Friday morning for a dozen roses from Southwest Florists.
