If this is your birthday, congratulations! You are celebrating along with country artist, Hunter Hayes, born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, in 1991. He plays every instrument, sings every part and co-writes every song on his first major-label album, which debuts in country's Top 10 just weeks after he turns 20. Happy 24th, Hunter!

This Is Teddy Bear Day!

The Teddy Bear has long been a special friend to children all over the world. He's cuddly. He makes you feel secure in an otherwise insecure world. He's lovable. Your Teddy Bear is both a companion and a comforter. And, he's not afraid of the dark. He'll keep you safe.

During the early 1900s, President Theodore Roosevelt was in office as President of the United States. He was a hunter. While hunting in Mississippi in 1902, he refused to shoot a small bear. The Washington Post picked up on this story, and made a cartoon of the event. Toy store owners, Morris and Rose Michtom, wrote to President Roosevelt for permission to call their stuffed animals "Teddy Bears". Teddy bears became wildly popular. Their company went on to become the Ideal Toy Company, one of the largest toy companies in the world.

It's a fact that, some adults have their teddy bears around all their lives. Not to worry, though, Its perfectly normal....and okay.
