It's Business Women's Day!

During World War II, while American men were off fighting, women took their places in the workforce.  When the war ended, returning soldiers found the women glad to have their men return, however many women were not eager to go back to traditional roles in the home.  Since then, women's roles and contributions in the business world have grown and evolved.

The American Business Women's Association (ABWA)  was founded on September 22, 1949.

The first Business Women's Day was celebrated in 1982.  A year later, a joint Congressional resolution as passed and signed by President Ronald Reagan proclaiming September 22nd as Business Women's Day.

So today we salute all ladies, who keep the wheels of business turning.  Enjoy your celebration. You've earned it!
