It's doubtful that any one of us will ever forget where we were or what we were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001, as we heard of the attacks on the twin World Trade Towers in New York City, as well as the Pentagon.  That horrible and tragic day is forever etched in our our memories.

The total number of lives lost that day was 2,977.  We lost 2,606 in the towers, 125 at the Pentagon, 40 more were claimed with the plane crash in Pennsylvania and the total number of militants was 19.  The deaths included not only Americans, but citizens from many other countries as well.  These attacks ushered us into a new war...the war on terrorism.

On this 13th anniversary of 911,  you are encouraged to spend at least a few minutes reflecting upon this event.  You also should pray for the victims who died as well as their families and friends.
