Birthdays And Anniversaries For October 17th + It’s National Mulligan Day

Best wishes to everyone celebrating on this Finally Friday!  25 years ago tonight, Larry, Steve and Rudy Gatlin, were in San Francisco, preparing to sing the national anthem before game three of the World Series, when a major earthquake struck and rocked the entire area.  Their performance was postponed along with the game.  It's National Mulligan Day!

A mulligan happens, in a game, when a player gets a second chance to perform an action or a certain move.

National Mulligan Day, was created as a special day to give yourself  a second chance or as some refer to it, a "do-over".  Just about everyone at one time or another has uttered these words, "I wish I could do that over again".  Today as you celebrate National Mulligan Day, you have an opportunity to take your "do-over".

By the way, according to the United States Golf Association, the term "mulligan", first achieved widespread use in the 1940's.
