Birthdays And Anniversaries For October 10th + It’s World Egg Day

It it your birthday?  If so congratulations, you are celebrating along with country star, Tanya Tucker.  Born in Seminole, Texas in 1958, she emerged as a teenager to become one of country music's most feisty females.  Her gritty vocal style netted her hits such as, "Delta Dawn", "Texas (When I Die)" and "Down To My Last Teardrop".  Today, Tanya turns 56.   It's World Egg Day!

This day celebrates and promotes the benefits of eggs.

Aside from high cholesterol, they are pretty much a healthy food.  They are high in nutrition and low in fat and are enjoyed by people all around the world.  Yes, it's no yolk, they are certainly what they are cracked up to be.

How to celebrate this day:

Eat some eggs!  Breakfast, lunch or dinner, they go great with any meal.

Search for how many things are made of, or contain eggs.  You could be surprised!

Have an egg throwing contest.  Don't laugh, it's a big sport in Great Britain.

Which ever way you choose to celebrate this special day, I'm sure will be fine.  But please, don't end up with egg on your face, by forgetting what all the Egg-Citement is about today!
