Birthdays And Anniversaries for November 17th + Homemade Bread Day

If this happens to be your birthday today, congratulations.  Your in great company, because you share this date with Reid Perry, born in 1988, in Jackson, Mississippi.  Reid is the bass player and one-third along sister, Kimberly and brother, Neil of, The Band Perry.  This trio earned a triple-platinum single with "If I Die Young", and also won the Country Music Association's New Artist of the year in 2001.  Since then, they've racked up even more accolades.  Happy 26th, Reid!   It's Homemade Bread Day!

Bread's been homemade for thousands of years.  In fact, it dates back to 5000-10,000 B.C.  However, with today's hectic lifestyles, we pretty much relegate homemade bread to the world of specialty baking and holiday baking.  We just don't seem to have the time to bake it.  We'd rather run to bakeries and super markets for our bread and that's really too bad because we're missing out on a great experience.

There is nothing in the world like the aroma and taste, of fresh from the oven homemade baked bread.  Sure, it'll take a little time out of your busy day to make it, but I guarantee, your nose, along with your taste buds, and the whole family will "thank you" for it.  So, here's hoping today, you get a chance to try it and enjoy it for yourself.
