Birthdays And Anniversaries For March 29th

If this is your birthday, congratulations! Also celebrating today is one of country music's best known "watering hole's". Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, opens on lower Broadway in Nashville, in 1960, just around the corner from the Grand Ole Opry. The small, lavender bar becomes a hangout for the likes of Willie Nelson, Harlan Howard, Hank Cochran and Mel Tillis.

Also turning a year older today:

Singer and keyboard player Brady Seals, born in Hamilton, Ohio, in 1969.  As a member of Little Texas, he contributes to such hits as "What Might Have Been," "God Blessed Texas" and "Kick A Little" before leaving in 1994 for a solo career.
