Also turning a year older today, mandolin player Neil Perry, born in Jackson, Mississippi in 1990. He comes to prominence as one-third of The Band Perry, the Country Music Association's New Artist of the Year for 2011 and the Academy of Country Music's Vocal Group of the Year for 2013.
