If this is your birthday, congratulations! You just happen to share the same date as one of Nashville's most famous musicians.

Drummer Eddie Bayers, born in Pautaxant, Maryland, in 1949. As a studio musician, his lengthy credits include: George Strait's "The Fireman," Alan Jackson's "Chattahoochee," Craig Campbell's "Family Man" and Vince Gill's "When I Call Your Name".

This Is National Kazoo Day!

People of all ages love Kazoos. This day celebrates the the joy of this musical instrument.

Alabama Vest of Macon Georgia, conceived the idea for the Kazoo, and had Thaddeus Von Clegg, a German clockmaster make it to his specifications, in the 1840's. Commercial production of the Kazoo didn't occur until some years later in 1912. Manufacturing was first started by Emil Sorg, in Western New York. Sorg joined up with Michael McIntyre, a Buffalo tool and die maker. Production moved to Eden, NY where the factory museum remains today. That's right, there is a factory museum for Kazoos. Who knew?

Today, grab a Kazoo and feel free to play all day!
