Birthdays And Anniversaries For January 13th + It’s Skeptics Day

If it's your birthday today, congratulations.  You are celebrating along with a very tall country music artist.  Trace Adkins born in Springhill, Louisiana, in 1962. The deep-voiced, 6'-6" singer earns the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male award, joins the Grand Ole Opry and broadens his audience with a stint on "The Celebrity Apprentice".  Happy 53rd, Trace.   

It's International Skeptics Day! 

A skeptic is defined as a person who questions or doubts facts and theories.  In other words, he or she, is a mis-believer.  These folks tend to not accept the "Given".  So if you are inclined to doubt things that you see or hear, then this day is for you.

Throughout the ages skeptics have questioned things like:  Maybe the earth isn't really round?   Perhaps the sky isn't truly blue!  My personal favorite:  Does he or she really love me?

According to The Bible, the disciple, Thomas, was a skeptic.  He was known as the "doubting Thomas".
