Birthdays And Anniversaries For February 27th + Polar Bear Day

Congratulations!  Here's some events that have happened on this date in country music history. 1961-Marty Robbins' song "Don't Worry," featuring a signature fuzz guitar solo, hits #1 on the Billboard country chart. 1982-Don Williams' recording of "Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good" reaches the top spot on the Billboard country singles chart. 2006-Joe Nichols earns his very first gold single, for "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off".  

  It's National Polar Bear Day!!

It's a cold day here in the Concho Valley, as we celebrate the world's largest carnivore. Polar bears can grow up to nine feet tall when standing and weigh up to 1400 pounds. Their large front paws are slightly webbed, and are used to paddle when swimming. Their bodies contain a warming layer of fat that is covered by a thick coat of fur which helps them live in the colder climates of the North Pole region, Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Norway and Russia.

Here's a piece of trivia.  It's believed that all polar bears are left handed. Who knew?
