Birthdays And Anniversaries For February 13th + Tortellini Day

If you are celebrating on this finally Friday the 13th, Congratulations.  Here's some country music history from this date.  In 1971, Sammi Smith has the  #1 in Billboard with the Kris Kristofferson-penned song, "Help Me Make It Through The Night".  In 1988, Rosanne Cash earns a #1 single in Billboard with a remake of her father, Johnny Cash's song "Tennessee Flat Top Box".  In 2012, Mel Tillis, receives a National Medal of Arts from president Barack Obama at the White House in Washington, D.C. 

It's Tortellini Day!

This is the day to try one of the many variations of tortellini, including soup.  It's made from thin fine pasta wrapped around delectable fillings of meat, ham or cheese, served with various sauces, or soup.  The filling should also include a blend of prosciutto, mortadella  and Parmigiano-Reggiano.  For best results, serve it up with a red wine, preferably Lambrusco.  Oh, Mama Mia, It's GOOD!
