If this is your birthday, congratulations! Two names in country music are also celebrating with you. Guitarist Jimmy Olander,  born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1961. He becomes a member of Diamond Rio, whose crisp harmonies and instrumental prowess net such melodic hits as "Meet In The Middle," "One More Day" and "How Your Love Makes Me Feel". Happy 54th, Jimmy!  Brian Kelley,  born in Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1985. While attending Belmont University in Nashville, he co-founds the duo Florida Georgia Line, earning a multi-platinum single with its 2012 release "Cruise." They win Vocal Duo honors from both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music. Happy 30th, Brian!

This Is National Dog Day!

This day was created by the National Dog Day Foundation. The organization has two goals: to honor dogs, and to rescue dogs from homelessness and abuse.

In addition to giving love and companionship, dogs are watchdogs for our safety, lead the blind, aid in search and rescue, and even seek out bombs and drugs.

Occasionally, dogs need us to save them from homelessness and abuse. The goal of the National Dog Day foundation is to rescue 10,000 dogs a year. Please lend a hand to help a dog in need today, or for that matter, any day. Thank You.
