Meals For The Elderly will hold its 22nd Annual Big Wheels Deliver Meals Day this Wednesday, October 3, 2012!
This event invites leaders throughout San Angelo to learn about Meals For The Elderly by assisting their extraordinary volunteers with the delivery of the meals. The usual and special guest volunteers are invited to stay and enjoy the same lunch that was delivered and experience the exceptional quality and nutrition of their hot meals.

The purpose of the event is to increase awareness of the Meals For The Elderly program throughout San Angelo and Tom Green County. It also gives the local leaders a chance to give back to the community.

Our own Catfish Hightower and our General Manager Dewey Weaver will be joining other community
leaders in delivering meals!

Meals For The Elderly is a
private, charitable nonprofit organization devoted to serving the homebound elderly with one hot, nutritious meal each weekday, while ensuring their individual well-being through personal contact. Since 1974, Meals For The Elderly has provided meals for the homebound elderly without being a government or United Way agency. This independent organization maintains an operating cost of $3 per meal. Through gifts, grants, donations, and fundraisers, over 630 meals per day are delivered to community members who might otherwise go hungry. They are delivering smiles, one meal at a time.
