Baptist Retirement Community (BRC) and Hospice of San Angelo (HOSA) have announced a new partnership.

Quinda Feil-Duncan, executive director of Baptist Retirement Community, and Gina Councilman, executive director of Hospice of San Angelo, made the announcement. Baptist Retirement Community is extending its continuum of senior living options to include assisted living and memory care assisted living on its 100-acre campus.

As it expands to offer more housing, services and care options, it will look to HOSA as the expert in the field of serving those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. HOSA looks forward to serving residents and team members of Baptist Retirement Community by providing additional services and education on campus. The two nonprofits are eager to work together to positively impact the lives of others.

“Our motto is “Better Together,” meaning that as two strong and successful organizations working together toward a common goal, we will accomplish even more amazing things than if we were to do them alone,” said Feil-Duncan. “Forming strong partnerships will help enhance the services we currently provide and help us raise the bar to deliver higher quality service. HOSA will be available to share and provide resources, educational opportunities, bereavement counselors and more to our staff and residents. We provide a residential continuum of care, and this alignment will allow us to completely focus on enhancing other areas of senior care within the community such as independent living, assisted living, Green House Homes, skilled nursing, memory care and outpatient therapy in a spiritually enhanced atmosphere.”

“We look forward to working closely with Baptist Retirement Community to provide comfort and support to patients with a life-limiting illness, as well as to their families,” said Gina Councilman, executive director of Hospice of San Angelo. “We recently collaborated to put together a helpful and informative grief seminar, and the success of the event is a true testament to the continued excellence that will be achieved through this partnership.”

In business for more than 30 years now, Hospice of San Angelo, Inc. has experienced success as a result of the many dedicated volunteers and professionals committed to the concept of hospice care.
