Country singer and former 'American Idol' contestant Ayla Brown got the surprise of her lifetime to start the new year. While performing at Tuckerman Hall in Worcester, Mass. on New Year's Eve, her boyfriend proposed on stage!

While Brown, 25, was preparing to sing the final two songs of her performance in her native state at around 10PM, Keith Weiser, a former minor league baseball pitching prospect, got on bended knee to pop the question in front of about 400 spectators!

Of course, Broan said "Yes!" How utterly romantic.

Paul Levenson, executive director of the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, which owns and operates Tuckerman Hall, was in on the proposal from the get-go. He commented on Brown's reaction to a local paper, saying, "I think she was stunned. She was so happy; it was great." Weiser had notified Levenson of his plans in advance and they managed to keep the operation covert and off Brown's radar.

Her parents, former Senator Scott P. Brown and TV journalist Gail Huff, were in the audience, as well.

Brown, who competed on Season 5 of 'Idol' back in 2006, now makes her home in Nashville, which is where she and Weiser met. She shared a photo and showed off her rock, and the headlines, on Instagram. See it below. She also posted a link to the big moment here.
