Angelo State University will host its sixth annual ASUFit Health and Wellness Fair on Monday, Oct. 14, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
The fair, which is the largest health fair in the Concho Valley, will provide information and resources related to fitness, healthy living and wellness from more than 50 vendors between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Special activities during the fair will include Zumba demonstrations sponsored by Jubilee Fitness at 11 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.  Flu shots will also be provided by Shannon Clinic while supplies last.  The shots will be free with the showing of a health insurance card, so individuals should check with their health insurance companies prior to the fair to ensure there will be no charge for the flu vaccination.

Vendors also will offer membership discounts, blood glucose testing and blood pressure screening, spinal and vision tests, skin assessments, vitamins and minerals, relaxation techniques, healthy snack samples, pedometers, exercise demonstrations and a T-shirt raffle.

The fair is a joint effort of ASUFit, the San Angelo Independent School District’s A+ Wellness program and Shannon Health and Wellness.
