Angelo State University’s Multicultural Center will host a Veterans Day Celebration complete with a recognition wall and patriotic presentations on Monday, Nov. 11, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
The celebration will run from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 11 in the central spine of the University Center and is open free to the public.  Light refreshments will be served.

Angelo State’s ROTC detachment will perform the posting of the colors; students from the Visual and Performing Arts Department will sing the national anthem; an ROTC cadet will give the invocation; and Ram Band members will play TAPS.  Opening remarks will be given by ASU President Brian J. May, followed by presentations from Dr. Maurice Kelley, visiting assistant professor of music, and ASU student Wayne Landis, a Purple Heart recipient.

The celebration will also feature a recognition wall where ASU faculty, staff, students and alumni can acknowledge both veterans and active duty military.
