Here's a chance to safely watch an event that only occurs once every 105 years.  Staff from San Angelo State University's Global Immersion Center along with members of the San Angelo Astronomy Society are offering a special viewing of Venus' transit across the sun.  It starts at 5 pm today outside the ASU Vincent Nursing-Physical Science Building, at 2333 Vanderventer Street.

Telescopes for safe viewing of this miniature eclipse  will be provided.

The event is free and open to the public.  More information is available by calling 325-942-2136
