Angelo State University’s Club Café coffeehouse entertainment series will host Virginia-based R&B musicians Rayvon Owen & Co. on Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.
Rayvon Owen & Co. will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center.  Admission prices will be $2 for ASU students and $5 for the general public at the door.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and light refreshments and drinks will be served.

Owen grew up in Richmond, Va., and began performing at a very young age, singing in choirs and touring with such artists as Damon Little.  He has made a name for himself in the music capital of Nashville, performing at various events, including Musicians Corner and Belmont University’s Christian and Commercial Showcase.  Influenced by R&B and pop music artists Eric Benet, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Lang, Usher and John Legend, Owen has a voice that has been described as smooth, sexy and one of a kind.

Earlier this year, Owen released his first single, “Brand New Day,” and is working on songwriting for his first album that he plans to release later this year.  For more information and music and video clips, go to his website at www.rayvonowen.com/#.
