Angelo State University’s Percussion Ensemble will present a concert titled “House Music” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will be in the EFA Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall.

The program will include “Living Room Music” by John Cage, “Dining Room Music” by Rupert Kettle, “Music for Pieces of Wood” by Steve Reich, “Scratch” by Eugene Novotney, featuring guiro soloist Anthony Aguilar, “Ostinato Pianissimo” by Henry Cowell, featuring xylophone soloist Joshuah Patterson, and “Just Buckets” by Brian Justison.

The Percussion Ensemble is directed by Trent Shuey, who joined ASU’s music faculty in 2015 and also serves as the assistant director of bands and ASU Basketball Pep Band conductor.
