Angelo State University’s Center for Community Engagement (CCE) will host its fourth annual CONNECT! Student Showcase on Monday, Nov. 23, in the Houston Harte University Center, 1910 Rosemont Drive.

The showcase will run from 2-4 p.m. in the University Center’s C.J. Davidson Conference Center and is free and open to the public. Students will display presentations about their community service projects that include internships, creating marketing and promotional campaigns, working with K-12 students and more.

“The showcase is an opportunity to celebrate the many things that students learn as they connect with and serve the local community and communities around the world,” said Dr. Doyle Carter, CCE director. “The students that participate in CONNECT! and other community-based learning initiatives are having a local and global impact.”

The showcase is a component of the CONNECT! Campus and Community program, led by Carter. It is the centerpiece of ASU’s efforts to enhance the educational experience for students through hands-on practices like service learning and internships.
