The Angelo State University Friends of the Library and West Texas Collection invites the public to take “An Insider’s Look at the Library” on Thursday, Oct. 27, in the ASU Porter Henderson Library, 2025 S. Johnson St.

Activities will begin at 6 p.m. in the state-of-the-art Library Learning Commons on the first floor of the library and are open free to the public. Dr. Maurice Fortin, executive director of library services, will lead an informative tour of the Library Learning Commons and will also discuss the types of memberships, activities and benefits of joining the Friends of the Library and West Texas Collection.

Guests will then head next door to the West Texas Collection on the second floor of the Houston Harte University Center to witness the opening a new exhibit titled “A Kaleidoscope of Collections.”

The event is also sponsored by the Porter Henderson Library and the West Texas Collection.
