Angelo State University’s Clarinet Choir will present its annual fall concert this Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in the Carr Education-Fine Arts (EFA) Building, 2602 Dena Drive.

The concert will take place in the EFA Building’s Eldon Black Recital Hall and is open free to the public.

The musical program will include “French Suite” by Yvonne Desportes, “Sleep” by Eric Whitacre and “Quartet for Clarinets” by Jean Absil. These pieces will be performed by ASU students Paige Geiselman, Luis Gomez, Samantha Howell, Belia Nelson and Alexandria Newton.

“Histoire du Tango” by Astor Piazzolla will then be performed by students Mario Cardenas, Luis Gomez and Mario Martinez.

The Clarinet Choir is directed by Dr. Timothy Bonenfant, associate professor of music, who will also accompany the students on bass clarinet.
