Aaron Watson's new video pays beautiful tribute to the precious baby girl he lost at birth five years ago.

Watson shot to "overnight" fame in 2015 with the release of his album The Underdog, which made history by becoming the first album ever released by an independent male country solo artist to debut at No. 1 on Billboard's Country Albums chart. He's released three previous single from the album with "That Look," "Freight Train" and "Getaway Truck," and has scored rave reviews from critics everywhere as a genuine country music traditionalist, but the album's fourth single, "Bluebonnets (Julia's Song)" is truly something special.

Watson was inspired to write the powerful acoustic ballad in remembrance of his and wife Kimberly's fourth child, Julia Grace Watson, who passed away just hours after she was born due to complications from Trisomy 18, a chromosomal abnormality.

The following spring, while the family was setting up for a group photo where they had laid Julia to rest six months earlier, Watson was thinking of her and reflecting on how precious life is.

"I had such an overwhelming mixture of emotions seeing Jake, Jack and Jolee Kate smiling in a field of bluebonnets (the state flower of Texas), while having the place we laid their little sister to rest in the distance behind them," he says. He went home that night and wrote these lines: "Pack light and love heavy, give it all your heart and soul / And in the end you won't regret one thing /  Life is like bluebonnets in the spring."

Those words blossomed into "Bluebonnets (Julia's Song)." Watson wrote the song about his daughter, but the lyrics speak to anyone who's ever faced the heartbreak of losing a loved one, encompassing the circle of life and loss and reminding listeners, "We're only here for a little while ... So make the most of every mile."

Watson is slated to headline a string of shows across the country this summer, with artists including Brandy Clark, Tracy Lawrence, William Michael Morgan and Ned LeDoux (son of Chris LeDoux) on the bill with him. He is performing in bigger venues than ever before and is also confirmed for a number of top-notch festivals, including Country Jam, which takes place June 16-19 in Grand Junction, Colo.
