SAN ANGELO –Tom Green County 4-H will be hosting a FREE, hands-on science experiment for grades 3-12 on Monday, October 7th!
Kids will learn how to think like a geospatial scientist to solve an environmental problem.  They will learn to plan and map a virtual park and playground.  They will be introduced to GIS and science and engineering principles like brainstorming, collaborating, designing, and decision-making.

The event will take place on the 3rd floor in the Sugg Community Room at the Stephens Central Library downtown San Angelo.  This event will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 4:30 to 6:00 P.M.   Members of Tom Green County 4-H will give a short presentation about GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS (Global Information System) technologies and then direct a hands-on activity where kids will learn how to use GIS methods to design a city park.
