Here's the Aqua Squad 2014 – a group of 10 middle schoolers tasked with the job of being water stewards and ambassadors for our community.
Students from all three middle schools applied, which included a written application, teacher recommendations and an interview. They will spend 3 weeks learning from experts in hydrology, watershed studies, conservation, as well as, communication, art and design.

This is the 5th  group of students in this program and is the result of  a partnership among the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts, the Upper Colorado River Authority and San Angelo ISD.

Aqua Squad will  travel to Philadelphia PA this summer and work with a group of high school students called “Project Flow” that are helping the City of Philadelphia educate the city on water pollution concerns. They will produce a joint exhibition upon their return.

SAMFA, UCRA and SAISD will recognize these students during a welcome reception on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30pm at the UCRA Water Education Center, 417 S. Oakes. past Aqua Squad members will be recognized for their contributions to this community.
